Special Prayer for Peace in South Sudan

We appeal to all people of goodwill to Pray for Peace in the new Republic of South Sudan. UN reports stated that over a thousand casualty and over 200 thousands are now displaced.  While there is a scheduled peace negotiation in Adis Ababa, Ethiopia, the parties have still have to put in place a cessation of hostilities or ceasefire. The  ethnic divides continue to hound the new Republic.

• Pray for the cessation of hostility between the government forces and the rebels;
• Pray that all protagonists come to the peace negotiating table and negotiate for the common good of the Republic of South Sudan;
• Pray that the new nation finds solution to the ethnic divides and work for a social cohesion - the thread that would bind all South Sudanese notwithstanding the ethnicity; and
• Pray for the victims of the renewed hostility.
