Short Reflection for the 3rd Sunday of Advent (C)
Readings: Zephaniah 3: 14-18; Philippians 4: 4-7; Luke 3:
10-18
Selected Text: “And the crowds asked him (John the Baptizer),
"What then should we do?" He said to them in reply, "Whoever has
two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should
do likewise." (Luke 3: 10-11)
Meditation: The
preparing for the coming of the Lord is to accept the challenge to live a life
of sharing and solidarity with those who have less in life. Give food to the hungry,
drink to the thirsty; clothe the naked; share shelter with the homeless; visit
prisoners and the sick; etc. Do this and
you shall live…!
