Short Reflection for the Feast of Pentecost
Readings: Acts 2: 1-11; Romans 8: 8-17; John 14: 15-16, 23b-26
Selected Passage: “I have told this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.” (John 14: 25-26)
Meditation: The feast of the Pentecost celebrates the coming down of the Holy Spirit that the Father send to us in the name of Jesus. Jesus did NOT leave us orphans. He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to teach us and remind us of the words and deeds of the Lord. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to forgive sin and to give NEW life! These are the two marks of the presence of the Holy Spirit: first, the forgiveness of sins; and second, the gift of life. www.badaliyya.blogspot.com
